"Lovely, quaint hotel but slightly overpriced !"
Date of stay: October 07, 2011
We really liked the location of this hotel. It is on a quiet alley near the night market and Joma bakery. Easy walking distance to anywhere. The room was quite spacious and bright. The bathroom was clean and large. There is a nice little restaurant. Since our flight arrived late and everything was closed, we had a nice first meal there. There a few downsides. This hotel, while nice is a bit expensive for what you get. I think in Luang Prabang you can find cheaper, with more amenities, like a bike to use and possibly other little small luxuries. Service was a little spotty. When we arrived, there were no small towels and one of the bath towels was stained. They returned our towels late each day, not when they were actually cleaning the room. One day, they took our towels and completely forgot to replace them and they never replenished the toiletries. I had to ask for new ones when we were out. They promote wireless access in rooms, in fact the service does not reach the rooms. Even if the lobby, there is not always a signal. The breakfast buffet was okay, not that many choices. One of the days, there was no buffet and they gave us a few choices to order from. This is a great hotel if you can get a deal on Agoda or maybe just during low season. Otherwise, I think you can get more for your money.
